Back to School, Back to You
Back-to-school season always feels like a reset button. The kids are stepping into new classrooms, new friendships, and new routines, and honestly, so are we. Between drop-offs, homework checks, sports, and figuring out what’s for dinner, life can move fast. That is why I have been reminding myself daily that it is not just about pouring into them, it is about pouring into me too.
The Power of Routine
Morning routines do not have to be complicated. For me, it is about creating moments of grounding before the day sweeps me away. A quick meditation, even five minutes, reminds me that I can breathe through the chaos. Sometimes that looks like journaling or sitting quietly with my thoughts before the house wakes up.
Small Sacrifices, Big Wins
I have been leaning into small sacrifices that make life smoother. Prepping school snacks the night before, laying out clothes, or jotting down a quick gratitude list at bedtime all add up. The same goes for my wellness. Choosing nourishment that gives me energy over something that slows me down is a practice I keep coming back to.
Pouring Into Yourself Without Guilt
Moms, dads, caregivers, we carry a lot. But back to school is also back to you. Maybe that means a quiet walk, stretching while the baby naps, or giving yourself permission to rest without feeling guilty. Those small moments matter more than we realize.
This Season, Let’s Do Both
We can show up for our families and still honor our own wellness. We can build routines that serve everyone and still carve out moments of peace. And we can embrace this new season with balance and joy.
From the heart, this is what Too Good Eats is about. Creating a brand that serves families but also reminds us to serve ourselves. If you are looking for little ways to make this back-to-school season brighter, we have you covered with our artisan drink mixers and frozen pops. They are made with real ingredients, no added sugar, and crafted to give you and your family a moment of goodness in the middle of a busy day. Feeling good can taste great, and I am honored to share that with you.
With love and goodness,
Anique Russell Co-Founder of Too Good Eats
